About
PANORAMMMA
Founded by Maika Palazuelos in Mexico City, PANORAMMMA operates at the porous boundary between art, design and narrative construction, creating objects that challenge the conventions of everyday life through material experimentation and speculative storytelling. Conceived as an extension of Palazuelos’ artistic practice, the studio explores themes of alienation, abstraction and the expanding pathology of the concrete, drawing on past visions of the future and constructing what it describes as myths of memory through new visual narratives. Rejecting the idea of design as autonomous sculpture or static museum object, PANORAMMMA creates works that are activated through use and intimacy: sat on, touched, switched on, lived with.
Through this exchange, objects become participants in shaping behaviour and perception. Often conceived as “pseudo props”, these pieces open fissures through which fantasy spills into reality, transforming domestic space into a scenography of parallel fictions and proposing new possibilities for how we inhabit the world.
