Anoe Melliou is an architect with Greek heritage, based in Berlin. Exploring therelationship between subjectivity and possibility, she develops reconfigurablestructures that invite shifting alignments and ongoing reinterpretation, attentive tonotions of scale, system and syntax. Through spaces, objects, and curation, her practice engages with identity as a limit condition—situated, performative, and endlessly redefined. With curatorial projects across Regarding Relations, she approaches the spatial and cultural conditions of gendered narratives, addressing questions of autonomy and agency.

The narrative for the design draws from hygra physis (ὑγρὰ φύσις), an ancient Greek expression describing nature's generative, fluid force. Reduced to two essential elements, a gently curved platform and a cylindrical bolster, the piece invites multiple ways of inhabiting the body. The bolster slides freely along the curve of the base, allowing it to support the head, back, or legs according to the user's preferred position. At either end of the platform, it is secured by a concealed magnetic mechanism, creating stable configurations while remaining effortless to reposition.Rather than prescribing a single use, the object responds to the body, inviting continual adjustment and an intuitive relationship between furniture and its occupant.
