Gemstones and spikes are rooted within the stainless steel metal surfaces in an organic, intuitive, meditative process. Decisions made on the spot, filling areas based on instinct, density, and visual tension. This approach mirrors mineral formations, corrosion, and protective growths or decay. Accumulations that happen unevenly and unpredictably over time. Fabricated with the same spike elements used for her ballet shoes, the Teeth Flats; originally inspired by trees that evolved thorns to protect themselves from predators. Objects that resemble furniture, but resist fully becoming it.
